  1. If everyone lived by this, there wouldn’t be so many problems in the world.

Problem with Muslims: everyone else is to blame instead of looking at themselves and taking responsibility for their own actions.

Umar (RA) said,”Take account of your own selves (i.e., of your deeds), before you will be taken to account (on the Day of Resurrection). Weigh yourselves (i.e., your deeds) before you will be weighed (i.e., before your deeds will be put on the balances on the Day of Resurrection). Verily, if you hold yourselves accountable today, the accountability tomorrow (on the Day of Resurrection) will be easier upon you”.

We are all human. We all make mistakes/sin. No-one is perfect – unless they are angels 😉 Try explaining that to some self-righteous Muslims and see what happens to their facial expressions lol.

  2. I’ve been thinking a lot about this. You’re right. In blog land, I think you’re the only person who practises what he preaches. May Allah swt make us all better people with good characters inshaAllah. Ameen.

  3. JazakAllah, but I don’t think you can get a full impression of someone just based on their blog posts – so the compliment isn’t something i would necessarily agree with…
